Bigger Balti

Join us for The Bigger Balti
It’s hot stuff at the coldest time of year: spice up your men’s ministry and chuck out the winter chills with a bit of chilli by taking part in The Bigger Balti. The third annual men’s curry event will see churches across the country getting together to melt away the winter blues by enjoying a night of good fellowship and food.

The event is just like The Bigger Breakfast, but takes place in the evening of Tuesday, February 7. All you have to do is get the men in your church (and their friends, relatives and neighbours)
together to enjoy a good meal. You can book a table at your local curry restaurant, get a takeaway in or, if you’re feeling particularly adventurous, make your own.

And if you don’t like curry? Most curry restaurants have a few English dishes on the menu while if you’re cooking your own, why not make a tasty casserole or chilli con carne? To be honest, what you eat isn’t all that important – it’s the excuse for fellowship that is. Getting together for a social evening gives you chance to get to know each other, encourage each other and even challenge each other.

Perhaps you could ask the men to bring a stationery pack or tools for a Tools With A Mission collection, talk about Operation Agri’s latest appeal, New Hope In Nepal or getting more involved with BMM (how many will take part in our £2 challenge?).

You could also talk about some of the things that the men in your church would like to do in future.

Whatever you decide to do, make it a memorable night out – and the first of many!
